My silver shower keeps going rusty.?

Has anyone got any ideas why my shower keeps going rusty? I keep cleaning it and cleaning it, but when i leave it for a few days this brown stuff starts coming back on it and when i leave it for a week or so the whole silver is covered in a rusty stuff? any ideas whats causing it?
